The park background:
1992, Yantai Hi-Tech Industry Development Zone was established with the approval of Shandong Provincial Government.
In April of 1998, Yantai Hi-Tech Industry Development Zone became one of the first five science & technology industry zones opening to APEC members. President Jiang Zemin gave it his inscription "China APEC Science & Technology Industry Park".
In April of 2000, Yantai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone marked out 10,000,000 square meters to set up Shengquan Industrial Park and Shengquan Industrial Park Administration Committee.
