Distance is within 10 KM between the center of the zone and Yantai Harbor and Yantai Railway Station Yantai-Qingdao Highway, Yantai-Weihai Highway and Yantai Circle Expressway run through the whole zone in all its directions. And Yantai International Airport lies in this zone too. The Yantai-Dalian railway-ferry which is under design and construction will be a new convenient channel. After its completion Yantai will act as a hinge to connect with the northern railway net whose principal axis is Harbin-Dalian railway and with the southern coastal railways in provinces such as Shandong,Jiangsu and Zhejiang.
 

Harbor
The area of Yantai Harbor is 4.8 square Km. It has 5,216 meters-long quay line and 34 berths which including 15 deep water ones for 10000 tons ships. Annual goods handling capacity is 16 million tons. The construction scale of the third-period project under construction presently is to build up seven deep-water berths which annual passing capacity will be 3,900,000.tons. The passenger steamers of Yantai Harbor go directly to Fushan and Qunshan in Korea such as “Steamer Purple Yulan”.There are also goods steamers which navigate to more than 100 harbors in about 70 countries and regions in the world .It also has good relationship in container business regularly with Japan, America, Canada, Korea and Singapore. 　
　
Railway
There is Lancun-Yantai railway to connect with main domestic railways lines within Yantai City People can arrive at Beijing ,Shanghai,Jinan,Qingdao directly by train from here.
　　
Airport
Yantai airport is located in the Yantai Hi-tech Development Zone and has already reached 4D grade according to the standard. It is rarified by State Department to open up for foreign airplanes as an international airport There are about 20 airlines which fly to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Harbin, Shenzhen, Dalian, Xi’an, Xiamen, Wuhan, Tianjin, Wenzhou, Chengdu, Urumchi etc and have more than 170 flights every week. It also has direct international and district .airlines to Hong Kong and Korea Seoul .To Hongkong ,three flights a week; To Seoul ,ten flights a week.

Roads
The highway in Yantai extends in all directions. It is one of 45 hinge highway cities in China The mileage of highway in the whole city reaches to 175.4 Kilometers Yantai Hi-tech Development Zone is connected with the fYantai-Weihai Expressway in the east and with the first class highway of Yantai-Qingdao in the west. Yantai city—circle expressway and the Five-district-joint Road go througn this zone from east to west.
